THE BOAT |
Built for fishing, she was constructed without a rear bulkhead to the salon, and had no furniture in the cabin below, nor much in the way of amenities. She has a single control station on the flying bridge and a solid bulkhead forward in the salon in case water breaks over the bow. |
MAGIC is a 37’ sportfishing Day Boat powered by twin Caterpillar V-8 diesel engines. She was built in 1985 in Wanchese, NC by Sunny Briggs for the Lee family from Wilson, and originally christened as Maverick. Immediately, the boat was known as a fast boat, and a fish raiser. |
The lack of a rear bulkhead makes her a great fishing platform, as the cockpit is continuous with the salon allowing plenty of room for fishing activities and a place to sit out of the sun while watching the baits swim. The drawback is that air-conditioning is useless, but what is venturing to the great outdoors for anyway, if you don’t want to be in it? |
